Send CRP Panelists to SOMOS in San Juan

—

1–2 minutes

Community Rising Project is sending three organizers to the 40th Annual Hispanic Legislative Conference (SOMOS) in San Juan, Puerto Rico, November 4–7, and we need your help to get them there.

As a member of the Lived Experience Experts (LEX) Collaborative, CRP is part of a panel accepted for this year’s conference. All six speakers have direct lived experience with New York’s family policing system.

Why this matters

SOMOS brings together a large share of New York’s legislative community. Parents and family members who have been through the system, speaking for themselves, rarely get in front of that audience. This is our chance to change who gets heard when family policy is written.

Our goal: $8,000 by October 23

Funds cover registration, travel, and lodging for our three panelists. We need to close by October 23 to book.

  • $1,000 sends one panelist (flight and registration)
  • $480 covers one full conference registration
  • $400 covers one night of lodging

Every gift counts, at any amount.
